SOA Consulting Manager

Job description / Role

Technical Architect- SOA required for a Multinational Consulting firm based in Dubai, UAE.

As a SOA professional, you are likely to be responsible for leading technical design and developing technology solutions. You could further specialize in areas such as Service-Oriented Architectures, Complex Solution Architectures, or Mobile Architectures.

Service Oriented Architecture consultants focus on designing and building Web Services based systems and the integration of multiple enterprise architectures and technical architectures (including development architectures). Typical skills include Web Services enabling technologies (SOAP, XML, etc), EAI tools and techniques (e.g. BEA AquaLogic, MS BizTalk, SAP XI, Oracle Fusion, TIBCO, or webMethods), development methodologies and architecture frameworks.

Complex Services Architecture consultants focus on planning, building and designing component based applications and architectures, often with multi channel front-ends and integrating multiple systems. Typical skills include Java and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technologies, Microsoft .NET, WebServices, modelling skills, component based methodologies, UML, RUP, programming frameworks (e.g. Struts) analysis and design patterns.

Key responsibilities may include:
- Technology Diagnosis & Assessment - Assessing current and determining future technology requirements in support of an organization's strategy. Identifying gaps and opportunities, recommending changes and improvements, and formulating the action plan to help organizations harness and realize significantly more value from IT.
- Technology Design - Designing the overall technology that supports business processes and people and enables business strategy.
- Technology Implementation - Implementing the overall technology that supports business processes and people, and enables business strategy.

Requirements

- 8 - 12 years of relevant work experience
- Technical Architecture - Leading technical designs and developing technology solutions in areas such as business intelligence, mobile architecture, portal and content or web service and integration.
- Project-/Program Management (Technology) - Ability to deliver top quality management to the largest, most complex technical programs.

Professional Skill Requirements
- Good overall understanding across all aspects of technology
- Experience from working in projects and good understanding of project fundamentals
- Full development lifecycle experience
- Consulting delivery experience
- Good presentation skills in English
- Arabic language knowledge
- Capability to support sales initiatives from a technology angle
- Strong interest in growing your own technology, management, leadership and sales skills
- Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
