Job description / Role
The TSA Group has been instructed to search, select and secure the services of a very experienced Senior Vice President, for a major player within the engineering & construction (contracting) market place in UAE. They are dominating many projects right now and need a new line of VP management to deal with some massive JV's within the firm.
SVP - SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - PROJECTS MANAGEMENT - CONSTRUCTION
This role will report directly to the COO of the company. Your main objective will be to manage commercial construction projects division of the Business Unit, including very large JV's from residential high rise to Luxury high end villas. You will have full responsibility in the areas of construction, project management, procurement, reporting, quality, project control and meeting budget & timeline of the relevant projects.
The role will be based in Dubai with regular travel to site - all relevant sites

The preferred candidates key responsibility will be to monitor & support the process objective statements, of timely delivery of the projects by effectively coordinating efforts of all concerned within the Business Unit. The person will assign resources to ensure quality, budgets and customers satisfaction is met, using best practice while avoiding liability.
The company is also looking for a leader and mentor for the business, offering advice, sharing knowledge and linking closely with the senior management team.
The role will be predominately office based in Dubai with regular travel to site - up to 35 sites
Key Accountabilities:
- Leads the Commercial project management team for execution of projects from pre-tendering to handing over on completion
- Understand the projects scope, complexities and implementation to maintain a professional and smooth finish to the project
- Understand the resources needed for simultaneous execution of multiple projects, directs planning, etc
- Delivery of the schedule - qaulity - safety - statutory & regulatory conformance
- Responsible for the interface between management, consultants and contractors - plus!
- Implementation of all quality plans, safety plans provided by divisional management
- Ensure approval of purchase requisition, work orders and purchase orders at site are obtained
- Monitor corrective & preventative actions across the sites
- Maintain best practice as company standard
- Develop and implement reporting within the project
- Liaise with various relevant authorities - maintaining relationships and professionalism of the firm
- Monitor & evaluate bills, invoices, purchases etc across all contractors & consultants - exercising penalties etc
- Responsible for leading the team of PM's - setting up PM procedure - setting the system in place to maintain the consistency across the duration of the project
Requirements
- Degree (Project Management) - very highly regarded
- Degree in Civil Engineering would be a minimum
- Further education (construction management) or MBA
- Previous experience in reporting staff and dealing with relevant issues etc
- Strong relevant industry knowledge (10-15 years experience) - 5 years in Quality Management
- Previous experience in managing projects above 500m dhs
Essentials:
- Excellent English (verbal & written)
- Minimum 15 years experience based on principle accountabilities
- Pre & Post contract experience
- Good people management Skills
- Passionate about quality of work and attention to detail
- Senior Project Management experience
