Safety Manager - Manufacturing

Job description / Role

Our client, a leading manufacturing of steel work such as steel furniture, stands, stainless- steel water cooler etc., is seeking to recruit qualified Safety Manger to join their team in Dubai.

Reporting to the factory Operation Manager, the incumbent shall maintain safe workplace. Therefore, he should plan, manage, design, implement and evaluate Safety Standards of the facility in compliance with the company regulations & requirements.

Accordingly, the job holder shall:
- Lead efficiently the entire Safety team of the company.
- Conduct periodically safety audits in order to evaluate effectiveness of safety processes and awareness
- Identify existing & potential risks and develop corrective / preventive measures as required with an objective of ensuring healthy & safe environment
- Conduct investigations and proper analysis of incidents to determine the actual cause & roots for each incident, and implement the corrective actions / recommendations accordingly.
- Conduct periodically risk-assessment exercise in order to determine physical hazards, and then act quickly in implementing the corrective actions in compliance with the Authority / Industry rules & regulations.
- Issue a monthly Safety reports and make it available for the entire team.
- Be available 24/ 7 to coordinate emergency & safety issues.

Requirements

- Should have engineering degree gained from reputable university
- In addition, having Diploma in Safety or Fire-fighting is a certain plus.
- Certified by NEBOSH (National Examination Board is Safety & Health) for the last two years.
- Certified OSHA (Occupation Safety & Health Administration) for the last 3 years
- Has at least 10 years of work experience gained from being working with manufacturing / construction organization.
- Team leader
- Possess excellent people skills & leadership
- Possess excellent communication skill both in verbal & writing.
- Ability to write professional Safety reports.
