Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Ensures facilities/operations in compliance with the EHS Standard;
- Inspects all work places;
- Promotes safe conduct of work;
- Applies hazard identification techniques;
- Communicates corrective measures to the Management;
- Issues Hot/Cold Work Permits;
- Investigates all types of accidents;
- Reports to EHS for prevention and maintenance of accident records;
- Trains workers;
- Issues adequate instructions and creates awareness of safe work practices;
- Carries out Job Safety Analysis;
- Ensures that the Company Safety Provisions are in compliance with the Municipal Local Orders/Regulations/Guidelines;
- Maintains records of all chemicals/dangerous goods used/stored at the Company premises;
- Conducts regular audit;
- Liaises regularly with members of the EHS to ensure standards and requirements are met.

Requirements

- Degree/Diploma in Any of Engineering Disciplines/Technology or Degree in Science.
- One (1) Year Diploma/Certificate Course in Industrial Safety.
- At least 3 years work-related experience in a supervisory capacity or employment in a training, education, consultancy or research in Health and Safety.
