Description and Desired Qualifications

CH2M HILL - Safety Supervisor - Abu Dhabi, UAE
The challenge? Helping ensure the supply of our world's oil and gas. At CH2M HILL, we deliver solutions that span the entire breadth of the oil industry. Our Safety Supervisor job will provide you with the opportunity to work in a Project Management Consultant capacity on an exciting large scale sour gas development located within some the largest sand dunes in the world. This project represents a new era in gas development and will set a benchmark for the world gas processing and treatment industry. You should be a self motivated, detail oriented professional with a minimum of 15 years experience working within the oil and gas industry and a minimum of five years working within the GCC.

Basic Function & Scope

Support the development and realization of a 'Zero Incident Culture' in a way that serious injuries are prevented and best in class HSE performance is achieved.

Help the Project Team develop a culture of HSE excellence and become active HSE leader.

Advise the project management team on HSE issues.

Ensure compliance by all parties with COMPANY's HSE requirements and regulations and all relevant legislation and statutory requirements, including all laws, rules and regulations (as amended from time to time) of the governments of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the U.A.E.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Key qualifications for this position include:

A bachelors degree in safety, health, environmental, technical, scientific, or related engineering field from an accredited university with minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in the oil/gas industry.
Experience on large-scale oil/gas and petrochemical capital projects preferred
Has clearly demonstrated strong HSE competence
Ability to work within a diverse cultural environment
Demonstrated interpersonal/teambuilding skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
