Job description / Role
Advise and support field superintendent, coordinator and supervision on fire & safety related issues in providing and maintaining safe working and operations environment.
Coordinate with other departments, sections and personnel to ensure operations activities are always maintenance by clearly defined safe working procedures and activities. In charge of manned fire station, fire engineers and activates performed by the firemen inside and outside of the fire station.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years fire & Safety experience in the oil & gas Industry.
- Member of internationally recognized fire and safety establishment.
- Knowledge of international and local laws, standards and regulations related to fire and safety of people and property.
- Knowledge of the principles of safety, accident and fire prevention; knowledge of first aid methods and techniques and full skill in the proper use of fire equipment.
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards, guidelines, and hazard assessment and risk management used in the oil and gas industry
- Working experience of emergency response planning and preparedness in the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office programmes, with a good working knowledge of databases and in the use of hazard and risk assessment programmes.
- Ability to maintain composure and respond properly during emergencies, ability to concentrate on a designated area for extended periods and ability to communicate effectively.
- NEBOSH Oil and Gas certificate courses at competitive rates.
