Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Sales & Account Manager will be responsible for the continuous development of the Sama eyewear throughout the wholesale channel to achieve targeted growth in sales, profitability and expansion. He/she must ensure that the brand is executed to international standards by working in close partnership with retail accounts.

Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Your main tasks will be:

Sales and Profitability
- Budget and forecasting for the business through identifying market trends and opportunities that maximise performance
- Achieve targeted sales and profitability for the brand
- Full P&L accountability for the business

Merchandising
- Continually analyse best and worst seller performance to ensure sell through of product is as per the target and take action where necessary within the season
- Ensure stock is allocated to ensure sales and profit targets are met for the brand

Operations
- Manage all aspects of the brand in the wholesale channel (market analysis, forecasting, stock management, logistics, and distribution, etc.)
- Build on existing clients and new key retail accounts throughout the MENA, Levant, & Eastern Europe; through effective business development activities and client relationship management
- Negotiation of terms of sale, credit terms, returns, margin and volume
- Be responsible, as a point of contact for the retail accounts regarding any product/merchandise, related issues, execution of retail and visual standards
- Visit retail customers regularly to review store and product performance and collate market intelligence
- Develop and implement an agreed expansion strategy for the brand and conduct stores/mall feasibilities
- Ensure regular communication to the team on achievements and business objectives
- Manage risk through constant review of policies and procedures and ensure that stock loss targets are met
- Ensure the brand operates within company policies and procedures at all times
- Lead and develop the team, and ensure succession plan is in place to fill future vacancies
- Work closely with the international brand principal on stock ordering, allocation and logistics, to ensure all opportunities are maximised
- Work cross functionally with the head office team to achieve goals
- Ensure training is conducted to retail clients to ensure understanding of the brand and drive further sales growth

Marketing
- Develop a marketing plan for the brand that will enhance the brands image in the MENA, Levant and Eastern Europe in conjunction with the Marketing Department

Requirements

- A minimum of 5 years experience in distribution/ Wholesale Brand Manager role, two years within the Middle East, experienced in eyewear and accessories and with a background in Merchandising
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Arabic is highly preferred but is not a must for the role.
- A strong understanding of brand management trends and cost effective approaches are extremely helpful
- A strong financial management experience with the ability to develop and achieve budget and targets
- Exceptional negotiation skills in building relationships and effectively closing the deal for a win-win outcome
