Job description / Role
Sales Assistant (x8) - GUESS - Gulf Mall, Doha
To deliver superior customer service through identifying customer needs, offering advice, demonstrating suitable products, building a relationship of trust with the customer and ensuring all standards are maintained as per policy in order to achieve sales targets and cultivate customer loyalty whilst upholding the image of the Brand.
Functional Responsibilities will included but not be limited to:
- Understand monthly target and formulate a personal strategy to achieve.
- Welcome all customers in a warm and friendly manner, ascertain customer needs and confidentially recommend and demonstrate suitable products accordingly. Discuss all the positive elements of each product and where possible, promote link selling with an overall view to meet the customers needs and maximize upon the sales opportunity.
- Ensure all products are displayed according to brand standards, the product and area of responsibility is clean, tidy and if available, replenished upon sale.
- Ensure the customers payment is processed in line with Company policy
- Where applicable, ensure the customer is fully informed of delivery schedules and the product reaches the customer in perfect condition.
- Handle any customer complaints in an attentive, professional, friendly and supportive manner with a view to limit the requirement to escalate to Management. In the case of serious Customer Complaints, escalate the matter to Management, informing the customer of your actions and the Manager the nature of the complaint.
- Maintain a customer database, capturing all relevant information that will enable accurate marketing of new lines to market. Capture any leads from current customers and contact new customers accordingly
- Inform regular customers on special offers, promotions, events or new lines to market
- Check stock levels daily, orders made and expected delivery manifests to maintain full stock availability. Inform management of any potential stock shortages
- Continually update on product knowledge, market trends and competitor analysis in order to speak confidently to each customer about the market vs. your brand offering.
- Complete and submit reports as per management requirement
- Provides quality service in the fitting rooms, follows up with customers in a timely manner, maintains cash wrap cleanliness and attempts to add on to the sale
Requirements
- High School Degree
- 1-2 years of retail sales experience
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
Job-Specific Skills:
- Good verbal communication skills, some lifting, ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
- Knowledge of English essential.
- Other languages including Arabic, Russian and Chinese preferable.
