Job description / Role
A Sales Associate is responsible for providing and maintaining excellent customer service standards, achieving sales targets, minimize stock loss, and safeguarding company assets.
- Greets customers and understands their needs and wants.
- Answers customer queries and concerns.
- Quotes prices and educates customers on discounts as well as warranties and delivery dates.
- Prepares sales contracts and accepts payment through cash and credit card.
- Assists in display of merchandise
- Assists in stock takes and Inventory as and when required.
- Provides outstanding customer service in person and over the telephone.
- Understands priorities and manages time wisely in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate clearly and listen attentively to customer requests.
Requirements
- Higher secondary school.
- Having a friendly and engaging personality.
- Comfortable working with a team and equally effective working individually.
- Must be helpful and polite.
- Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
- You should have a comprehensive understanding of your area of sales i.e. retail, Fast Moving Consumer Goods.
- Knowledge of inventory techniques.
- Should be of a smart appearance and articulate
