Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1) To acknowledge and approach customers in a positive, courteous and friendly manner.
2) To serve customers enthusiastically, establishing their needs and matching products to those needs through the application of a high level of product knowledge and where necessary to offer alternatives.
3) To recognise, and act upon, opportunities to increase the value of sales by offering appropriate additional items.
4) To operate the till in an efficient manner, processing all methods of payment with high regard to customer care and security procedures and to handle and wrap the merchandise with care.
5) After the relevant training be confident to measure, fit and advise customers.
6) To deal with telephone calls in a polite and efficient manner.
7) To assist in ensuring that stock displays are well presented with the appropriate quantity of stock, replenishing from the stockroom as necessary.
8) To tidy and clean stock displays, including fixtures.
9) To assist with the effective implementation of promotions, including point of sale material and stock displays and help ensure all promotions are implemented on time.
10) To ensure that price tickets on display are present and correct.
11) To deal effectively and politely with customers or complaints.
12) To process and put out stock deliveries, checking off and recording and reporting any discrepancies where necessary to the Manager.
13) To be aware of stock issues within the store and to check on stock availability as necessary.
14) To carry out stock counts, to correct the stock file, as directed.
15) To acquire a high level of product knowledge and continue to develop that knowledge.
16) To assist in ensuring that all areas beyond the sales floor are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
17) To undertake cleaning and general housekeeping duties to ensure the store is well presented.
18) To be alert to breaches in store security, notifying management of any such cases in order that corrective action may be taken.
19) To understand fully all Health and Safety regulations and procedures relating to the branch.
20) To adhere to Company health and safety policies and procedures to ensure their own health, safety and welfare and that of all customers, fellow employees and visitors whilst on company premises.
21) To complete Company training programmes as required.
22) To convey money to the bank, following the Company banking procedure, as and when required.
23) To convey a professional manner and attitude at all times.
24) To carry out any further reasonable tasks as directed by management.

Requirements

- To optimise all sales opportunities.
- To assist with the effective implementation of all Boux Avenue systems, procedures, policies and regulations.
- To assist customers in their selection of merchandise by offering advice, direction and information relevant to their needs
