The Company:

My client is an international provider of facilities solutions to the oil & gas production and processing industries. Their range of services provides a total solutions approach to meeting customers' needs across the full life cycle of oil & gas assets.

The Role: Sales Director

Location: UK based/Extensive global travel

The Project: Various

The Description:

• Direct and manage sales and marketing activities for a major international oil & gas engineering contractor. This includes setting the strategy for sales positioning but also direct sales activities forming strong personal relationships with clients and dealing professionally with clients, partners and other divisions of the company at all levels.

• Establish and maintain contact with key contacts within current clients. Fully understand client organisations to identify most appropriate entry levels, etc.

• Identifying potential clients on world wide scale and establishing contact. Network on global scale and explore a variety of opportunities.

• Ensure the most up to date knowledge on current market activity including global trends, major clients, competitors, etc.

• Maintain sales forecast database and marketing intelligence for the assigned geographic regions and coordinating as required with other divisions.

• Strategic input to proposals for specific prospects as they are identified and developed.

• Sales and marketing direction and co-ordination with Country Managers for specific countries and clients as directed by Business Development Director.

• Understand all areas of Petrofac business in order to maximise productivity. Co-ordination with other Petrofac divisions and branch offices.

Requirements


Requirements


• Engineering degree with extensive experience of the hydrocarbons, engineering services and project delivery environment.

• Professional sales experience

• Sound oil and gas and refinery technical and project execution knowledge.

• Pro-active approach

• Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills.

• Ability to meet schedules and quality objectives.

• Detailed knowledge of Petrofac E&C business and sales / proposals process.

• Professional and courteous interface with clients, partners and other divisional staff.

• Ability to take the initiative and work unsupervised.

• Ability to travel widely

• Good interpersonal skills and presence.

• Multitasking capabilities.

• Sound technical discipline knowledge.

• Dedication and attention to detail.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of all sales and marketing activities.

• Natural ability to develop strong professional relationships with clients and partners.

• Computer literate.

• Discipline engineering, project controls, project management, commissioning experience and general engineering services

• Excellent written and verbal English, other language skills an advantage.

• Good knowledge of all commercial and contractual issues including taxation and insurance for relevant geographic regions.

• Good negotiation skills.
