Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Pre Sales Engineers/Sales Engineer required by the global IT vendor to provide pre-sales technical support to the organization's premier strategic enterprise & government customers in the MENA region. Working closely with the regional sales manager you will have previous strong technical exposure in one or more of the following; networking, security, network security.

- Work closely with Sales to support sales initiatives and drive direct and channel sales.
- Drive strategic account opportunities and work with existing customers to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor and maintain customer accounts, in addition to identifying specific customer needs and transferring that information to product specialists who can fulfil requirements.
- Provide technical pre-sales support to various entities for the purpose of promoting and selling products/services.
- Strong communication and presentation skills are a must.
- IP networks as well as network security, security regulatory compliance and best practices;
- Deliver consistent product training, technology updates, release updates, and roadmap information.
- Develop a trusted advisory relationship with the customer security operations and design teams.
- Will possess a detailed understanding of the security/forensic/analytics products and technologies from the company and competitors;
- Will have extensive experience in the enterprise network industry; will have extensive experience in high paced PoC environments;
- Will have proven technical sales skills; will enjoy learning about new technologies autonomously and on the fly;
- Provide technical leadership to enterprise customers through a range of pre sales support functions including, supporting product evaluations, pre-sales technical consultation, post-sales support advocacy, and proactive needs analysis.
- Deliver technical presentations tailored for technical and non-technical audiences ranging from administrators to executive and C-Level.
- Initiate and manage numerous on site and remote proof of concept installations
- Training partners and resellers on the proper positioning and technical sales of products
- Interfacing with R&D for the purpose of articulating collected RFEs and the associated business cases
- Ongoing collection and dissemination of technical competitive information
- Execute responsibilities using all possible media and methods including conference calls, emails, web demonstrations, on site visits, public presentations, trade show attendance and more
- Extensive travel within defined geography to meet customers and partners.

Requirements

- Engineering degree or equivalent.
- Solid Middle East market knowledge.
- Excellent communication.
- Good experience of dealing with Enterprise & Government entities.
- A deep understanding of ICT security and networking.
- Hands on functional understanding of supporting technologies.
- 3-5+ years of experience gained at a distributor, systems integrator or an IT vendor
- Ability to work in a team sales environment, participating in sales strategies as well as individual standalone sales activities
- Highly developed interpersonal skills
- A high sense of urgency and deep interest in serving the customer
