The Sales Engineer will be charged with managing all Himoinsa generator product sales activities within the country.

* Contributing to the achievement of revenue, unit sales and customer engagement through effective sales process management, increasing customer retention and efficient distribution strategy.
* Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plans to approach and secure new business for the Division.
* Proactively manages customer requirements for on-time delivery taking into account lead-times, product specification changes and customer demand.
* Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with the key contacts within the Prime & Standby Power sectors
* Able to manage every element of the sales process on an individual level including projects
* Able to work and operate successfully within a operational management matrix structure while maintaining Franchise and FAMCO distributor standards, utilizing existing account management processes and reporting systems
* Collaborate closely with the OEM partners and product marketing managers on developing new products and services for our clients and end users.

Suitable candidates should have the following skills and experience:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Degree in Mechanical and or Electrical engineering with good knowledge and working experience of Prime & Standby power generation.

Minimum Experience: 5 years

Job-Specific Skills:
Distributor and dealer experience: sales driven: customer focused: territory management: product knowledge: high level of communication skills.

Behavioural Competencies:
Uses consultancy based sales techniques to fit different customer characteristics and personalities. Able to influence customers by understanding needs, building trust and rapport. Customers may routinely refer potential business to this individual or seek their advice with regards to business decisions: Calm, confident and capable of responding to unplanned events with the same level of leadership demonstrated during routine situations. Demonstrates that customer relationship management is a way of life in maximising business potential and winning referrals.
