Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Participates in the implementation of the agreed sales budgets for assigned products (mechanical/electrical/instrument/ etc), assisting the development and concluding of supply contracts; negotiating and agreeing one off sales contracts and contributing data to the Company's marketing and industry information data base. Coordinates related shipping activities and schedules.

Coordinates the preparation of the yearly sales budget for assigned products (mechanical/ electrical/instrument/etc). Includes collecting marketing data and liaising with customers to identify capacity and/or constraints for the forthcoming year, discussing contract requirements and carrying out research into supply and demand requirements locally and regionally. Discusses outline budget with Marketing and Sales Manager and assists in presentations to executive management, as required.

Implements agreed annual sales budgets, setting sales and pricing policy, putting together sales promotions, setting up call patterns and participating in local and regional industry exhibitions. Monitors progress against targets and takes necessary corrective actions. Makes sales calls and finalizes major supply or one off sales contracts, discusses and negotiates prices and delivery schedules (in conjunction with principals).

Controls the execution of existing contracts of supply and negotiates renewal terms or new contract arrangements. Includes following up on execution of existing contracts to ensure the Company is meeting its objectives and that customers remain satisfied with service and quality; reviewing and discussing amendments to standard contracts with legal representatives and prospective customers, negotiating and finalizing contracts.

Carries out studies concerning assigned product(s), markets, follows-up on market developments and analyzes trends in the oil field supplies and associated industries. Includes preparing specific market studies to determine potential customers, their consumption and import patterns, main competitors as well as means and opportunities of making business with them.

Prepares offers to customers in response to tender invitations. Ensures that Company offers are within tender requirements in relation to specifications of product, packing, delivery periods and payment conditions. Travels with and participates in marketing delegations to prospective purchasers, to discuss and negotiate prices and delivery terms. Liaises with local agents, if any, to report on tender results. Liaises with customers, local agents and banks, to follow-up on the execution of contracts according to agreed conditions.

Prepares delivery schedules in line with product availabilities and contractual obligations. Liaises with customers to negotiate any changes required in the schedules. Initiates and supervises the preparation of all documents/certificates required in the contract, including preparation and checking of the relevant invoice.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Excellent command of English.
- 6 years' marketing experience in sales of oil field service and products. Knowledge of major customers in the local and regional markets.

- Meeting sales and marketing targets.
- Number of new customers attracted.
- New deals concluded.
- Time elapse between making the sale and delivering the goods/services.
