Sales Engineer - Oman

Overview of role:
Identify clients for potential sales of Sea Water/ Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis desalination systems and Annual Maintenance Contracts. Execute and achieve sales in accordance with budgeted and agreed targets.

New Business
- Establish a register of potential new clients and initiate contact and establish relationships.
- Visit potential clients in line with a pre-agreed schedule and sales call targets.
- Provide weekly reports on potential sales, market information, clients and leads.
- Implement guidelines / instructions from the Sales Manager to achieve targets with higher operational efficiency.
- Follow-up with selected potential clients identified from the enquiry / order register, initiate contact, assess and confirm their requirements.
- Promptly respond to all enquiries / service related complaints.
- Provide technical specifications along with supporting documents (Brochures, Manuals, photos etc.) for the requested items.
- Close sales with clients, in line with approved margin and pricing policy.
- Liaise with the Production & Service Manager to ensure delivery commitments related to materials and services are correct and in line with the requirements of the customers.
- Liaise with the Sales Manager to initiate the appropriate sales documentation and update the enquiry / order registers regularly.
- Promote the sale of Annual Maintenance Contracts and parts as part of the package when selling RO systems (development of customers for Annual Maintenance Contracts, spare parts and chemicals should be left to In-House Sales.)

After Sales Services
- Follow up with all clients to ensure client satisfaction on products and service quality and prompt payment of accounts receivables.
- Prepare maintenance reports and submit to the clients periodically as required.
- Obtain and analyze client feedback and promptly act upon any dissatisfaction to initiate preventive action to resolve the complaint.

General
- Strive to achieve quality & business objectives.
- Work within the ISO9001:2008 quality system.
- Complete all required documentation as per ISO procedures.
- Any other duties as may be agreed from time to time with the Sales Manager.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
- Valid GCC driving license essential.
- Previous sales experience in high value industrial equipment / machinery / technical products would be an advantage.
- Experience working in Oman is desirable.
- 4-7 years sales experience.
- Target driven, highly motivated, positive attitude and with excellent presentation & communication skills.
- Very organised and highly numerate.
- Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
- Team Player.
- Natural sales abilities and good sales techniques.
- Ideally with strong networking experience in the Marine and Oil & Gas industries.
- Innovative and creative.
- Analytical skills.
- Highest level of personal integrity and standing.
- Highly self motivated with a positive work ethic.
