Al-Futtaim is regarded as a pioneer in the Gulf region's Automotive industry and encompasses every aspect of the Automotive business; from passenger and commercial vehicles and construction equipment sales and service, to used car sales and rental and leasing.

Al Futtaim Auto Center (ALAC) is part of the Al Futtaim's Automotive Division. ALAC has six divisions comprising of Body Centers - Toyota & Lexus within UAE, Fast Repair, Customs & Classics, Auto Equip, Tyre Zone and Fastfit. ALAC offers end to end solutions in aftersales for both business to business & retail customers.We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to be part of our AutoEquip team in Dubai.

The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the preparation of Sales and Gross Margin forecasts and ensuring that these are achieved and exceeded. While this position has up to 6 direct reports, Key customer Accounts are directly handled by this position.

The main accountabilities of this role are as follows:

Principal Accountability:

* To maximize participation rate (field coverage) through Sales Engineers
* The preparation of Sales & gross margin forecasts for the territory
* Ensure sales through tracking of current customer base requirements for repeat sales potential and through direct contact with Key Customer Accounts
* Exploring and converting new business opportunities that result in increased revenue and profit for the Division.
* Ensure that accurate information on competitors is presented to the Divisional Manager, thereby supporting the development of strategies that are aimed at increasing market share.
* Ensure that customer's needs are understood and fulfil customer needs with highest quality standards for total satisfaction.
* Maintenance of management level contact with all customers

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:

* Provide commercial and technical support to Sales Executives
* Prepare Sales & Gross Margin forecasts for the territory. This requires the effective use of project information, awareness about business environment and customers purchase plans whilstensuring that the forecasts are in line with the divisional objective laid down by the General Manager
* Work together with the Divisional Manager in order to agree on market share objectives for the segment and for each product type
* Understand customer requirements and deliver products and services of the highest quality, thereby setting industry standards, ensuring customer delight and developing a loyal customer base.
* Where customer requirement requires special products or on site Application Study, liaise with the Product and Application Engineer to organize for the study or to identify the correct specification
* Explore and convert business opportunities through effective customer identification, surveys, competitor analysis, market information and tender analysis, in order to exceed annual business targets
* Directly manage key customer accounts and be the first point of contact for said customers.
* Negotiate sales contracts and ensure the meeting of contractual obligations. Keep the customers updated on the status of their order
* Recommend to the Divisional Manager, marketing activities for his territory which will result in the achievement ofthe agreed market share objectives. These include planning and organizing factory tours and accompanying visiting customers.
* Recommend product demonstrations and coordinate with Product Support to organize demonstrations to customers.
* Inform the Product & Application team of any observations from customers relating to the specification of equipment and is a member of the team which decides on market related specifications
* Based on territory feedback from Sales Engineers and Key customer Accounts, recommend equipment stocking requirement.
* Assist in providing required market intelligence for specific surveys.
* Gather and analyse market information on product pricing and, in conjunction with the Divisional Manager, formulate appropriate pricing strategies for each product enabling to meet gross margin and profit requirements as well as the customer's requirement.
* Promote secured payment terms and ensure timely collection of money, thereby minimizing the company's risk of bad debts.
* The recommendation of credit proposals to the Divisional Manager, providing a clear assessment of the credit worthiness of the customer.
* Regularly interact with the customers to enquire on product performance and offer timely assistance in the resolution of all queries,thereby maintaining a healthy and profitable relationship between the company and the customer. This requires interaction with the Product Support team, the Divisional Service Manager and the After Market Manager.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

*5+ years in the field of workshop equipment unit sales equipment industry. Territory based experience preferred.
*Preference will be for candidates with Sales Management experience

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Bachelor Degree or equivalent good experience in Mechanical Machinery Sales. Knowledge of After Sales Marketing.
