Sales Manager - Building Products (Dry Lining / Ceilings)

Job description / Role

Morgan McKinley is looking for a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager who will be involved in business generation, customer acquisition and leadership of a sales team. The key part of the role will be to build strong relationships with clients through innovative, transparent, dynamic and professional methods. To thrive in this position, you must have at least 5 years of sales management experience in the dry lining/dry walling and suspended ceilings.

- Business development predominantly in dry walling/partitions and suspended ceilings across the Gulf market.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with manufacturers, middlemen, major buyers through personally developed interactions and a good sales strategy
- Proactively research innovative methods and products and strive to understand prospective products ahead of the competition.
- Effectively train and manage a sales team to exceed sales targets as well as coordinating with the sales teams in other branches of the company
- Work closely with the operations management team to ensure that each client receives top quality service
- Represent my client at industry events in order to represent the company and present the benefits of its products and services in a knowledgeable manner
- He/she must be able to function effectively in a cross functional organization

Requirements

- Must have at least 5 years of senior level sales management in dry lining/dry walling and suspended ceilings as well as a qualification in a technical field
- Clear understanding of the construction sector as well as excellent knowledge of key clients in the distribution process
- Must be experienced in profit margin growth and previous experience of client presentations, supplier negotiations and tender document responses.
- He/she must be able to strategically initiate new and efficient solutions to technical or sales.
- Good communication skills in English both verbally and written. Ability to communicate in other common languages in the region will be a plus.
