The RoleThe RoleDoha Marketing Services Company W.L.L. (DOMASCO), an overseas joint venture of the reputable UAE-based Al Futtaim Group, has been operating business in Qatar for 15 years and has sole distribution rights for Honda, Volvo cars and trucks, reputed brands of watches and electronics such as Raymond Weil, Casio and Sanyo as well as Yanmar marine engines in the country. We are currently looking to recruit experienced Sales Manager - Automotive for diversification of our automotive business. The primary focus of the role will be to achieve or exceed budgeted targets for sales turnover, gross margins and net contribution. Enhance customer service and satisfaction programs and ensure achievement of an acceptable market share. The main duties within the role include the following: Sales and Gross Margins: Achieve and exceed budgeted sales and gross margins to ensure achieving approved net contribution. Budgeting: Prepare, monitor and control the annual departmental budget to ensure expenditure is in line with the business plan. HR Development: Ensure that the department is staffed by well-trained and motivated personnel to achieve qualitative and quantitative objectives of the company. Advertising and Promotion: Provide and execute advertising and promotion proposals to achieve company objectives in all direct marketing endeavors. Inventory Control: Constantly review stock levels and recommend optimum order levels in line with company policies and achieve maximum stock turnover. Institutional Business: Meet with managers of big institutions including Government and fleet companies to ensure their continued business and identify new business opportunities with them |
RequirementsRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Essential to have at least 10 years experience in sales and marketing of which at least 2 years must be in senior managerial capacity Automotive or car dealership experience preferred Management of a profit center with ability to promote sales in a competitive environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Good command of the English language and Arabic is preferable Computer operation, negotiation and training skills Competent to analyze market situation and identify customer needs Degree in any discipline. Additionally an MBA is desirable Good knowledge of MS Office products |
