Sales Manager - FMCG

Job description / Role

One of the fastest growing, exciting, food trading and distribution businesses based in Dubai is currently seeking a sales person with experience in selling to the leading customers in the UAE Market and surrounding GCC countries, to join its highly experienced international team.

The role will primarily involve you utilising your existing, extensive customer network to further develop business partnerships with the UAEs leading food & beverage customers; driving the profile and sales of some of the worlds leading food and drink brands.

This role is relevant to experienced, hungry, dynamic individuals looking for that next exciting role. You must be well presented, able to think on your feet, and relentless in your pursuit of incremental sales.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Acquire new accounts by telephone and client visits, across a broad range of categories, including Hotels, Catering, QSRs, Exporters, Restaurants, Retail and Wholesale,sports and leisure
- Maintain and grow existing accounts through client visits and over the telephone
- Achieve targeted sales volume, revenue and profitability goals for the assigned territories
- Able to sell and build relationships with all levels of business stakeholders
- Follow sales structure from identifying client need through to closing the sale
- Provide market leading customer service
- Monitor and report on competitive activity
- Effective pipeline management and accurate forecasting in line with company requirements
- Analyse sales trends in customer accounts, and develop strategies to maximise sales
- Collaborate with other areas in the business, and communicate effectively including procurement and marketing

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years selling experience within FMCG industry (preferred but not essential)
- UAE experience preferred
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver results
- Excellent presentation
- Organised and articulate
- Excellent communication skills
- Native English speaker
- Computer skills
- Valid UAE driver's license
- Existing extensive network of customers (preferred but not essential)
