The RoleThe RolePurpose of role: To manage the Dubai Loans team and ensure that the all the sales activities directed to meeting sales targets. Key Responsibilities: To develop & implement sales strategies and objectives as well as set challenging sales target and ensure that these targets are achieved. To motivate and train staff for best practices in the business. To maintain service standards & monitor, evaluate and measure performances to achieve top productivity & efficiency from systems as well as staff. Developing a vision and strategies for implementing best practices and leading edge technologies/processes locally. Ensure safety and quality standards in the unit are met as per the corporate guidelines. Compliance & AIM Guidelines: To ensure 100% training of the entire sales team on "Compliance & AIM Guidelines". Reporting Lines: Direct: Head Of Loans UAE. Indirect: Head of Sales Consumer Banking, UAE. Direct Reporting: Team Leader Loans (Dubai). BDMs. Relationships (including nature of interaction): Internal: Head of loans & Head of Sales, UAE. BDMs. Direct Sales Team including Team Leaders/ Sales Officers. Resolving and ensuring the channel targets achievement. Credit department & Operations Department. Tracking the approvals & disbursals and related issues in CC. Direct sales. (To drive the business in proper direction to reach YTD targets. To ensure quality of the business is maintained.) Marketing department (With the continuous support of promotions to achieve the higher numbers). Client services & Compliance (Acct opening related issues, Policies & procedure has to be followed under the guidelines AIMS). External: New to bank relationships (Payroll, TML). Existing and prospective Customers. To meet with employers which give good business. Key Relationships: Trouble shooting, enhancing the product needs. New business Concerned Employer / customer: Employers where there is an issue with the bank and sometimes customers who are unhappy with the business. |
RequirementsRequirementsCompetencies: Essential: Leadership & Team Management to manage a large and diverse cross-cultural work force. Understanding of the Local Market/Internal Credit & Compliance policies/Competitors Activities. Important: Strategic Planning including analytical skills to formulate incentive plans/MIS conceptualizing for effective sales monitoring at all levels/Staff Appraisals. Desirable: Cost Control for revenue optimization and lower Cost Of Acquisition. Specific knowledge & skills: The most important skill to run such a big and diverse cross-cultural work force is the "People Management Skills". Ability to get along with the team and peers. Knowledge & Skills: Local Market and industry, Product & Services, Selling, Communication & Internal personal skills. Leadership skills with ability to manage large teams. Proven Leadership skills and ability to handle large diverse teams. Competencies: Action & Achievement orientation, Analytical thinking, Business orientation, Decisiveness and Judgement, Development of team. Education and Experience: Graduate (B.COM) preferably in Sales & Marketing. 06 years of working experience with at least 3 years in banking industry in Consumer Banking. In depth familiarity with Consumer Banking products like loans, Credit Cards, Transaction accounts, Overdrafts etc. Other Information: Extremely Competitive, dynamic, volatile and regulated business environment with low entry/exit barriers. The jobholder operates within well-defined and demarcated business areas and is required to adhere to the policies and guidelines set out in the Bank's Credit Policy & Compliance manual. Major challenges/difficulties include following: Maintaining costs, sales productivity and efficiency in face of rapidly increasing competition in the market. Well-defined, focused and demarcated business area with regulated Credit Policy & Compliance guidelines. Nil penetration in the local national segment due to regulated internal guidelines. Higher processing turnarounds and yet to be developed state of the art service infrastructure. Bench marking with peer banks not present. |
