Sales Manager - MENA - Dubai, UAE

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for the strategic direction of new and existing business development for all Move One products and services. The Sales Manager - MiddleEast and Africa will develop, implement and manage a sales strategy to achieve aggressive sales goals, attracting new clients and developing loyalty from existing customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS
- Develop and execute strategies for new business development with particular focus on Project Logistics.
- Develop new products and services to meet client demands.
- Establish strategies for lead generation, pricing and cross selling.
- Maintain current client and potential client relationships.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with all internal departments.
- Ensure sales target/revenue and growth is met on a quarterly and annual basis or within the defined time frame.
- Represent Move One at external conferences such as ERC EuRA HHGFAA and other Logistics trade fairs.
- Ensure members of the sales team regularly participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer issues are resolved.
- Communicate customer expectations internally. Build long term relationships with customers, act with integrity, build trust and credibility.
- Prepare and conduct corporate presentations and sales meetings. Conduct marketplace intelligence and research.
- Identify and enlarge targeted customer base and industry.
- Provide timely and accurate information on industry and customers' intelligence.
- Understand competitor strategies, capabilities and pricing to better position Move One advantageously. Identify and develop service and solution offerings, sales planning and strategies.
- Develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles in sales operations activity and procedures.
- Develop pricing and business models based on customer needs.
- Develop and implement the sales department budget for the region.
- Accountable for targets, customer revenue, tracking results and profitability of all channels as well as customer retention.
- Manage sales territory, sales performance, forecasting and enforcement of selling methodologies.
- Work closely with the sales team to maximize cross selling opportunities at every customer touch point and integrate new business and service processes to optimize the service offered and maximize return on investment.
- Collate and submit sales reports and analysis
- Collate and present the sales team performance to management.
- On going development, leadership and training of the global sales team to ensure they meet and exceed agreed targets, whilst maximizing teamwork and cooperation within.
- Work with Human Resources to build the sales team.
- Recruit, interview, select, train and develop staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the sales teams development.
- Develop internal induction and sales training programs for new members of the global sales team.
- Regular travel around the region (between 25-50%) and to other Move One offices as required.
- Work with Human Resources to ensure job descriptions, commission schemes and objectives are set and performance appraisals are conducted through Adrenalin for each.
- Assess and monitor the sales team performance and competencies on an ongoing basis to ensure the appropriate level of training and development is offered.
- Develop relevant sales tracking systems and performance measurement tools.

Requirements

- Degree level qualification or equivalent in any field is preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a business to business sales environment is essential. Experience working in the logistics, moving or relocations industry would be preferred.
- Experience developing and executing sales strategies to substantially increase growth and revenue is essential.
- Strong people management skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve targets are essential. Results driven with a proven track record of individually exceeding sales targets is essential.
- Solution orientated and a positive can do attitude are required.
- Proficient analytical and evaluating skills are required.
- Excellent strategic planning and decision making skills are essential.
- Must have well developed presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with web based applications.
- Must be commercially astute.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt within an ever changing business environment.
