Job description / Role
A reputed Marine Distributor in the Middle East is looking for a Sales Manager for its Marine Hydrographic Charts and Publications department. A successful candidate will be adept at meeting sales goals, negotiations, customer relationship management, selling to customers, managing staff/ processes, market knowledge, etc.
The position is for a smart, honest and hardworking marine personnel with the ability to learn and manage sales of charts and publications products. The candidate should have a marine back ground, sales pitch and adequate product knowledge. Finer parts of the job description are as follows:-
- Responsible for complete sales and marketing process.
- Responsible for drafting, implementing, controlling and achieving sales forecasts.
- Understanding of P&L statements and gross/net profit results is a must.
- Plan, Lead, Direct and Motivate existing sales team to deliver results.
- Improve product marketability and profitability, by researching, identifying customer requirements and accessing respective competitor's.
- Candidates with knowledge/ experience of Middle East Marine market and ISO standards will be preferred.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Marine or Sales/ Marketing from a reputed institute.
- Minimum 5+ years Marine Sailing Experience or 8+ years of Marine Sales & Marketing experience.
- Adequate knowledge and understanding of Marine Hydrographic Charts and Publications products.
Special Requirements:
- Smart, disciplined and pleasing personality.
- Excellent command on written and verbal communication (Language-English).
- Ability to work under pressure and meeting sales forecast/ deadlines.
