Job description / Role
Our client, a leading conference and exhibitions agency is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team.
The Sales Manager is the key link between key clients and various support teams within the company. The role is varied and extensive and the Sales Manager must demonstrate strong consultative selling skills and high levels of customer service to ensure the image of the division is held in the highest regard by the industry stakeholders.
Job Purpose
- To drive through the sales process for selling exhibition and sponsorship participation to potential clients.
- To maintain existing and develop new customer relationships.
- To ensure and achieve maximum revenue against set budget.
Key Dimensions:
Main job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Drive through the achievement of sales revenue/profit targets.
- Exhibition revenue target.
- Sponsorship revenue target.
- Continue to build strong relationships with current and potential clients both pre and post event.
Requirements
Background Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in a sales role.
- A demonstrated successful sales record of high value sales activity.
- Full understanding of event sales cycles.
- Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Commercial awareness.
- Attention to detail.
- Speaks fluently and writes clearly in English to both individuals and groups.
- Numerate.
- Experience of growing and developing new markets and products.
- Tele-sales or Exhibition sales background.
