The Role


The Role


• Participates with Business Unit management in determining sales forecast.
• Sets objectives for sales force
• Controls performance of sales representatives against set objectives.
• Is accountable for distribution & coverage plan results.
• Coaches actively sales team, through general training and one to one field accompaniment.
• Spends most of the time on the market to monitor performance of customers and sales force.
• Reviews frequently the sales priorities, planning and presentation of the sales force ensuring that they are continuously aware of all stock, pricing and promotional issues.
• Assists the Sales Representatives in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities via expansion of the customer base, promotional activities or merchandising changes.
• Directs relationship with top customers and key accounts.
• Handles customer cases and needs
• Supervises trade marketing activities execution in conjunction with Brand managers.
• Reports market and competitive activities management and recommends on actions and objectives that should be adhered to.
• Establishes and maintains a high profile relationship with customers at all levels especially senior managers of major customers
• Conducts sales force training assessment and appraisal

• Proven leadership and people development ability
• Results oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced negotiation skills
• Proficiency in using MS office and other IT applications
• Very good command of English
• Experience in FMCG industry is a plus
• BA. MBA is a plus.
• 2-3 years in similar function.
