Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned customers, at all levels of their organizations; limited contractor accounts may be part of customer package
Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin;
Generate cross-selling leads and make it easier to do business with Industrial Solutions
Identify upcoming sales opportunities and influence customer specs to favor the products
Conduct technical presentations to create preference for the products
Introduce new products to existing customer base and identify target customers
Meet or exceed assigned volume and margin measurements
Perform take-off's and develop cost effective proposals from project plans and specs, and negotiate and secure orders
Utilize Commercial Operations team to assist with project take-offs
Understand market pricing, and create and maintain secondary pricing agreements with key accounts
Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
Create industrial marketing programs
Track sales leads, wins and losses in CRM system; perform analysis on hit-rate data
Determine selling strategy (direct, distribution) to best serve customers needs and support level
Participate in industry and technical organizations to build relationships
Grow aftermarket and service sales at key accounts
Process post-sales service cases and billing inquires in a timely manner

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of sales experience
Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and GE products
Ability to drive automobile to call on customers
Working knowledge of MV / LV switchgear
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills as demonstrated through prior sales performance
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Experience working with distributors, channel partners, commercial contractors and industrials
Strong project management skills
Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
Strong coordination and influencing skills
Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs
Ability to apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction
Six Sigma or equivalent Quality Certification
Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
