Sales Manager - Middle East Region

We are currently looking for Sales Managers to join our sales teams within, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and UAE. As a senior member of the team, the Sales Manager will work closely with the Country Managers and be responsible for ensuring that the sales force follows an effective sales process and that best practice is consistent throughout the country.

As a Sales Manager will also work closely with the Field Sales Team to achieve above market share on nominated Major Projects within the Region.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Direct line responsibility for the field sales team within the Country
- Manage the sales processes for the field sales team
- Responsibility for the coaching, mentoring and performance management of the field sales team
- Liaise closely with the Depot/Country Managers to ensure sales and operational objectives are met through a collaborative relationship
- Responsibility for driving the price improvement initiative within the Country, and to measure such improvement
- Revenue and profitability performance of the field sales team portfolio
- Growth of new account revenue within Country
- To measure & target the field sales teams using effective sales reports
- Support major projects within the region using resources from the field sales team and close liaison and co-ordination with the Country Managers
- Assist the field sales team in the selling of products through differentiation (e.g safety innovations or service differentiation)
- Ensure sales reporting process is followed by the field sales team
- Analyse sales activity reports and ensure that best practice is followed
- Develop sales plans and ensure that the field sales team carry out agreed activities
- Identify areas that require performance improvement and develop / implement action plans to address
- Adhere to Quality Management Procedures regarding sales enquiries
- Ensure customer service and customer expectations are exceeded for both internal and external customers
- Deal with all customer queries & complaints quickly, efficiently and cost effectively
- Carry out periodic 1-2-1 reviews with all field sales team members
- Carry out regular accompaniment days with field sales team members
- Identify training and development plans in line with achievement of individuals and corporate objectives
- Carry out disciplinary action as appropriate and in accordance with company procedures

Key Areas the Sales Manager should ensure the field sales teams are achieving
- Revenue growth (Portfolio & Regional) against agreed targets
- Retain existing customer base within agreed targets
- Redevelop dormant accounts against agreed targets
- Achieve new account revenue against agreed targets

Requirements

- Knowledge of Powered Access Rental industry/Health and Safety awareness is desirable
- Proven track record of selling in a B2B environment
- Excellent communication & presentation skill are essential
- Strong ability to analyse data and interpret complex information
- Computer literate in Excel, Word & Power point
- Strong experience of managing a team of people in a sales environment is desirable
- Strong planning/prioritization skills and ability to manage own workload
- Self motivated with the ability to motivate others
- Evidence of educational achievement and recent relevant training
