Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To direct and lead in the selling of company products and services.
• To achieve individual key performance targets.
• Actively seek new ways of generating additional sales revenue.
• Understand the marketplace and identify opportunities for future growth.
• Develop and deliver effective product and service launches, marketing campaigns, and promotional sales materials that result in revenue growth.
• Cold Calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
• Actively and successfully manage the sales process: lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; and account management.
• You will have individual responsibility for new business, and are expected to self manage, however, you will be part of a growing team of people with the same job title. Support is available by the managing and sales directors for complex large pitches and strategies.
• Travel to relevant conferences to market your magazine
• Review your own Sales Performance aiming to meet or exceed targets, as defined in your KPIs
• Consistent completion of reports required by line management
• Prioritise and plan own activities to meet the commercial and local demands of the job role.
• Read all CPI Publishing magazines and keep up to date with Company style and vision
? To actively promote best practice sales techniques as identified by the business.
? Analysing and reporting competitor activities and initiatives.
? Liaise with major agencies across the region to service existing CPI Publishing clients.
? Plan and research for existing and new magazine launches, events and projects.
? Present weekly forecast for your sales to your Team Leader.

Events:

? Research current trends to conceptualise and launch new custom print projects in form of guides, supplements and sponsored events.
? Assist in organisation of events to maximise product positioning and sales revenue.
? Assist in the organisation of CPI Publishing’s presence in major exhibitions and events.

Communication:

? To actively support all products launches, publications and events.
? To be able to listen to customer requirements,
? Be able to respond to clients both by phone and email/letters.

Finance:

? Manage outstanding debts with your team leader and finance department.
? Ensure all advertising contracts have been signed by authorized signatory.

Requirements

Key Attributes / Experience required:

• A minimum of 2 years experience of “on the job” experience is essential.
• Qualifications in sales and marketing are desirable but not essential.
• Experience selling advertising within the Middle East or to financial institutions.
• Have a accurate knowledge of competitive media.
• Able to meet and exceed targets.
• Able to develop new clients and generate new advertising accounts.
• Able to work towards and meet monthly deadlines.
• Able to manage stress levels.
• Will be ambitious with a desire to develop both personally and professionally.
• Will be competitive and show high levels of drive and energy, investing whatever time is necessary.
• Likely to be perceived as determined and enthusiastic.
• Strong desire to win and receive recognition.
• Will adapt a confident and measured approach, objective and rarely influenced by emotion.
