Al-Futtaim Motors are the sole distributors for Toyota, Lexus and Hino brands in the UAE. Since the company's inception in 1955 it holds the pre-eminent position of being the largest distributor of automotive products and services in the UAE. We also hold the distinction of being one of the largest private conglomerates in the gulf region.

Al Futtaim MotorsΒ enjoy's undisputed leadership in the UAE in terms of the largest number of vehicles on the road. Besides Toyota and Lexus, we also hold exclusive franchises for some of the world's top automobiles and automotive products like Hino - Japan's leading heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer, Toyo & Chen shin/ Maxxis tyres, GS & Panasonic batteries and many more.

We are currently looking to recruit a Sales Planning & Distribution Manager at the Al Futtaim Motors head office in Dubai. This role will be responsible for developing sales programmes and providing timely delivery of the required vehicle supply that allows the fleet and retail sales departments to achieve their sales and profit objectives. The vehicle inventory should be managed in such a way to ensure the most efficient use of the Group's resources.

The key accountabilities of this role will include:

• Market Analysis - Total market to market segment level
• Budget Analysis - Company budget, rolling forecast aligning business objectives
• Budget creation - Producing budgets down to model, sales channel and branch level
• Sales Planning - Mid to long term to achieve financial and volume objectives, tactical short term planning to correct any financial/inventory short falls
• Logistics - Inventory importing and local distribution
• Nenkei Planning - Short, mid and long term sales planning in line with the principal
• Purchasing - Inventory ordering
• Pricing - Master SAP creation and maintenance, price list creation

As every area of the automotive supply from pre-order to end user is required varied knowledge would be necessary:

• Sales - Background in a multi-channelled environment(retail - internal and external, fleet, export), ideally automotive. Local Arabic cultural as well as multi-cultural sales experience beneficial
• Financial - Close liaison with the corporate treasury and financial management, working knowledge of commonly adopted financial practices such as cash flows, risk analysis, financial forecasting etc would be beneficial
• Marketing - Market forecasting (short, mid and long term); tactical campaign planning; pricing development and strategy
• General Management - have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; manage and motivate a multi-cultured team; produce and implement relevant plans; liaise with internal and external customers as well as a principal, corporate office and with a variety of stakeholders; make decisions with confidence whilst supported by a quantitative analysis would be expected
• Ability to forecast without key information, with confidence and supported by a quantifiable logic

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications/experience:

• A Marketing, Business Management or Financial degree would be beneficial or relevant industry experience in core areas outlined in 'About You section
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the automotive industry with experience in the sales, sales planning or financial environment
• Standard Microsoft skills. however high level Excel knowledge or equivalent risk analysis and forecasting software desirable
