Employment: Full Time

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

- Activity: General Trading & Regional Support to HQ

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Research dependable and competitive suppliers and good sources of raw materials to strengthen item supply pool.
2. Maintain good relationships with customers and suppliers so everything runs smoothly for future biddings and negotiations.
3. Review RFPs from customers and preparation of Quotations, Tenders, Proposals and Purchasing Agreements in accordance with the received RFP in a clear and prepared manner.
4. Coordinate the preparation of procurement documents, utilizing sound sustainable procurement practices, while adhering to S&Ps company policies as required.
5. Schedule, organize and facilitate Job-Site and/or Pre-Bid meetings related to Quotations, Tenders and Proposals.
6. Support contract meetings and prepare meeting notes.
7. Issue Addendums to Quotations, Tenders and Proposals, as required.
8. Use judgment, diplomacy and confidentiality with respect to the complete procurement process, ensuring integrity of the respondents bid information.
9. Involvement in preparation of contracts and tender awards that may be confidential or contain sensitive information related to property or personnel, or legal implications, if required.
10. Prepare and maintain contracts after award, ensure that all documents are kept current and complete. Confer with suppliers regarding delivery, quality, etc. to ensure that the requirements are met.
11. Monitor contracts and vendor performance and consult with vendors and/or user departments to implement corrective action when required.
12. Arrange for samples, testing and evaluation of new products. Ensure S&P awareness of product lines of new suppliers if required.
13. Contribute to the development and formulation of purchasing procedures and practices as required.
14. Participate in possible future projects and assignments related to procurement, as required.
15. Prepare Quarterly, Bi-Yearly and Yearly sales plan and long term plans including numbers, personnel and strategy.
16. Marketing of S&P and its vendor products to developers, construction companies and wholesalers.
17. Prepare presentation material customized to each customer to meet their requirements for the upcoming project bid.
18. Liaise with developers, construction companies, designers and consultants to stay in touch with the most recent construction news. Get news of upcoming projects before they are released on the press to get an upper hand in the field.
19. Participate in exhibitions related to developers and building materials for networking and continuous sourcing of vendors.
20. Vendor negotiations regarding contract terms, pricing, shipping terms and other necessaries to fulfill S&Ps and the customers requirements.
21. Provide Daily Report to the Team Leader.
22. Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Requirements

1. Personal Integrity and excellent Communication Skills in both speaking and writing to deal effectively with customers, vendors and S&P staff in English. Arabic speaking fluency preferred but not essential.
2. Minimum 10 years experience in procurement of materials related to construction projects.
3. Minimum 3 years of Marketing and Sales experience in any construction business.
4. Well knowledgeable in construction related materials and raw materials.
5. Good skills in Word, Excel, and Power point usage.
