Sales Representative - Johannesburg

At DuPont our Protection Technologies business offers a wide range of proven, science-based solutions including some of the most trusted brands in the industry: Tyvek® for dry particulate hazards, Tychem® for liquid and gas chemical hazards, Nomex® for thermal hazards, and Kevlar® for cut and abrasion protection, plus ballistic protection for law enforcement and military applications.

Due to continued growth we are now recruiting for a Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg.

Main Responsibilities:

•Acts as focal point for customer interactions (written, verbal, face to face etc.). Provide a ‘One-stop’ point for all questions concerning own customer base (both for external customer and for DuPont internal requests).
•In collaboration with the Sub-Sahara Africa Segment Leader, Sub-Sahara Regional Leader and the Europe Middle East and Africa Sales team, establishes an account plan and objectives for every account that has been identified as critical customer (>80 % revenue rule).
•Provide sales volume projections to Sub-Sahara Regional Leader and the demand team on a monthly basis and put Gap closing in place when deviating from PO.
•Measure progress against Account Plan and review with Sub-Sahara Africa Segment Leader and Sub-Sahara Regional Leader and the Europe Middle East and Africa Sales team on a Quarterly Basis.
•Clarify/Improve/streamline communication between DuPont and customer.
•Work closely together with the Marketing teams to fine tune our Industry jointly with the Sub-Sahara Africa Segment Leader as well as the Sub-Sahara Regional Leader and Marketing Communication organization (frequency to be defined).
•Develop customer focus in cross functional teams by clearly and consistently providing the voice of the customer.
•Build a cross functional team (technical service, customer service, credit check, outside processing, marketing communication etc.) to ‘delight’ customer.
•Personal development : Become best in class sales professionals

Requirements

•Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in Personal Protective Equipment, engineering or industrial sector preferred
•30 to 50% travel in South Africa.
•Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint)
•Driven and self-managed independent contributor.
•Strong networking and communication skills.
•Persuasive.
•Energy, enthusiasm and high levels of personal credibility.
•Superior professional presence and business acumen.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written & verbal.
