Sales & Supply Support Manager - IKEA - Qatar

To support the strong alignment between supply and demand needed to secure agreed service level at lowest cost. To ensure an efficient logistics operation in the store.

* Contribute to the fulfillment of the customer promises created by the Communication & Selling process by actively working to secure and maintain the availability of goods through the minimisation of non-central shortages and the monitoring of central shortages.
* Support my manager in creating awareness in the commercial team on availability issues and thereby enabling their action to minimise the impact on our customers.
* Actively support sales with the range management, in-line with country range decisions and is responsible for a qualitative and timely administration of the range in the system.
* Highlight deviations between the range frame connected to the store range classification, Country range agreement and the actual range (size) to sales. I support my manager in creating an understanding of the impact of availability for our customers of working outside the range frame.
* Assist the Sales& supply support senior to administer the store range in accordance with the country range decision and store range classification; and secure that all relevant parameters are updated to allow for the article to be replenished and sold in the store.
* To support the sales team with a forecast alignment for strategic articles, by highlighting discrepancies between central and country/store forecasts.
* To follow up on the agreed range for the store to ensure it is stocked and/or offered in the store; and for highlighting to the concerned party the need for any corrective action.
* To secure goods availability for customers at the lowest possible costs in order to strengthen the main objectives of IKEA to be a leader in life at home in our local market and achieve growth and sustained long term profitability.
* Monitor the automatic ordering process and initiate actions in case of disruptions to the order flow that jeopardise availability for the customer.
* Work with my manager to ensure that any structural supply deviations (e.g. supplier or transport performance related) which threaten availability or store operations are made known to the service office supply support function, to ensure they are addressed with our supplying partners.
* To monitor and follow up sale goals for key articles identified in the business agreement between IOS and retail sales.
* To work with the sales team to agree on the most commercial sell-out approach of discontinued articles offered via the central customer delivery channel in order to maximise sales and safeguard gross margin.
* To support the creation of an environment where the IKEA culture is strong and where the diversity of our customers and co-workers is valued.
* To help and support colleagues in the store as well as to share knowledge with them
* Contributing to turnover by maximising service level 365 days per year, in line with the agreed goal setting; concentrating on minimising non-central shortage and supporting active sales steering, by providing shortage and overstock information to our shopkeepers.
* To reduce cost and work with more efficient tools and procedures to deliver the required
* To ensure all actions contribute on the financial results of this area as well as to the sales growth and to support the maintaining of the long-term profitability.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Bachelor of commerce /Equivalent

Minimum Experience:
1-2 years of experience is an asset preferably in sales, supply chain, logistics.

Job-Specific Skills:
Profession level of MS Excel and other MS programmes.
Excellent written and verbal English
Ability to work with schedules in order to maintain deadlines.
Ability to plan, implement and monitor the planned actions.
