Sales Support Engineer

Job description / Role

The company is a global water technology leader in the transport, treatment, testing and efficient water usage in for municipal utility companies, commercial and residential building services, industrial and agricultural settings. It has operations in five continents through a number of market leading pumping brands, they are headquarters in the USA, with revenues totalling $4 billion and employing 12,500 employees worldwide.

Responsibilities;
- Pre sales and post sales coordination and support for different departments.
- To evaluate & analyse customer enquiries, assisting in the selection of the appropriate equipment to meet the overall requirements and prepare technical and commercial proposal.
- Internal responsibilities related to products and pricing.
- Allocate project reference numbers and ensure all the data related to the project is saved under relevant folders as well as essential fields in the CRM.
- Prepare and submit written, faxed and telephonic quotation.
- Collect the complete project details from the customer and screen all the involved parties for case from red flag countries and any new customers before any quotation is made.
- Liaison with customers, headquarters, factories, sales team, GC team to obtain sufficient information to enable completion of a compliant quotation and therefore to maximize opportunities to receive an order within the current market guidelines.
- Internal product expert role to enhance the support quality and utilise the expertise.
- Assist the order department with clarifications on product configurations and technical information for orders and coordinate the terms and conditions for the sale.
- Liaise with the finance department on payment terms.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure equipment is delivered within the contracted timescale.

Requirements

- Fluent in Arabic, English and French
- Degree in Engineering (Preferably mechanical or electrical)
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the water/waste water transport/treatment markets, with exposure to sales/marketing/distributors, preferably in an engineering/process control environment.
- Product and market knowledge required.
