Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The main job of the sales engineer is exploring the market enquiries and follow up on the completion of the enquiries.

Achieve sales and targets

Customer:
Set customer list and its classification and coverage plan
Plan and execute customer visits
Execute cold calls / visits
Regularly add new customers to the present customer list
Customer list turnover – at least twice a year.

Market survey:
Update the Customer list (Contact details, customer classification)
Define potential customers
Define our competitors
Competitors pricings and services
Any additional service to attain customer satisfaction and loyalty
Execute product awareness program to all customers

Quotations:
Define customer requirements CLEARLY
Discuss all related issues such as Technicalities / payment terms / delivery / operation and after sales services.
Discuss the quotation requirements with Application Engineer.
Clarify the full details of the quotation with the application engineer.
Review quotation pricing with management
Negotiate all commercial issues with all relevant parties
Discuss and follow up customer requirements with all internal dept. (Credit, service etc)
Print the review the quotation before delivery to the customer.
Deliver the quotation to the customer.

Follow up:
Follow up with every relative personnel with the subject you are handling.
Follow up with:
- Credit dept.,
- Finance dept.
- Service dept.
- Every dept. related to your sales deal.

Reports:
Customer list updates
Quotation updates
Call reports
Lost deal report

Requirements

University Qualifications: Engineering
Other certifications obtained: Preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Nature and length of previous experience: Sales Engineer with 5-8 years experience preferably in GCC
Specialist knowledge: power generation and marine products.
Soft Skills and Personality traits: Excellent customer service skills and Negotiation Skills.
