Sales Engineer

JOB PURPOSE

The Job Purpose of the Sales Engineer is to manage all aspects of preparation and submission of proposals for the businesses internal projects and Principal projects throughout Iraq. The role shall encompass the entire process to include; pre-qualification, project identification, registering of interest with clients, liaising with Iraqi teams, Principal partners and vendors, preparation and submission of technical/ commercially compliant offers, progressing and reporting on status of tenders, executing sales and all coordination, reporting and administration associated with the process The role shall also include management of current and future projects, coordination of Principal accounts and other opportunities within the business which the successful candidate shall be expected to develop as per business requirements.

ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Maintain and issue project lists to Principal partners
Maintaining and developing pre-qualification docs, capability docs, case studies and all other supporting documentation
Preparation & delivery of high quality technical and commercial offers IAW with clients T&C’s and local Iraqi requirements
Generating expected order levels from sales opportunities
Accurate forecasting of expected input, margins and scheduling of works
Successful execution of contracts
Ongoing support of business

MAIN DUTIES

Liaise regularly with Iraq team to obtain status of new tenders, ongoing pursuits and sales opportunities within the territory
Provide regular updates on projects and tenders to Principal partners and the Management teams
Liaise with clients on a regular basis through tender preparation to contract execution
Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely execution of contracts, early identification of commercial issues, and communication of customer requirements.
Maintain project pipelines, reports and databases
Maintain and developing pre-qualification docs, capability docs, case studies and all other supporting documentation
Coordinate Principal partners and trips to Iraq to include arrangement of visas, security, accommodation, travel schedules, client meetings etc.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE

An experienced Sales / Tendering Engineer, preferably from a Rotating equipment OEM or service company with strong communication skills
Experience in compilation and submission of technical tenders required
Knowledge of the registration and tendering process in Iraq desired
A basic knowledge of Principal equipment to include pumps, compressors, steam turbines, gas turbines, chemical injection packages
Relevant experience in a similar role in Oil & Gas industry
