Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To assist and support MENAP Sanctions team with advising business relating to compliance with international sanctions regimes and associated risks to create a strong compliance culture

Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with compliance responsibilities for sanctions
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with providing sanctions advice and guidance to the relevant business and country compliance in the MENAP countries, and elsewhere as needed.
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team to mitigate sanctions compliance risks, foster a compliance culture in the Bank and optimize relations with the Regulators, protect the reputation of the Group, comply with applicable Group policies, standards & local laws & regulations in order to prevent criminal sanctions
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with supporting management in meeting its compliance obligations as outlined in the Group's Sanctions Policy relating to identification of suspicious activity
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with providing support and assistance to the business lines and Country & Regional Compliance Officers on the implementation and operation of the sanctions compliance systems.
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with providing advice on Sanctions compliance issues that arise through the business & country compliance functions.
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with the process review and enhancement related to the referral, escalation and resolution of sanctions alerts in country and in the processing hub
- Assist MENAP Sanctions Team with local countries' list management.

Requirements

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and the ability to interpret them and apply them to actual situations.
- Knowledge of the Business and products.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced and complex environment with constantly changing deadlines and priorities.
