Employment: Full Time

To support our HR Team in the Middle East, we are currently recruiting for an HR Advisor who will provide a generalist HR support service, including recruitment activities, for our office in Dammam. The HR Advisor will develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand their business requirements and provide a proactive service. The role is based in Dammam and will report to the HR Manager UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Working with the Regional Recruitment Officer to research/advise on best recruitment
• Establish contacts with employment centres in Dammam and vocational/secondary schools
• Connect with/represent AkzoNobel with Universities including Careers Fairs where relevant
• Assisting with disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company polic
• Helping managers resolve minor disputes/advising on performance and absence management issues
• Supporting the identification of training & development opportunities in line with development plans and providing practical assistance where required
• Providing management information and assisting with general HR administration
• Assisting with the review and update of job descriptions and organisation charts
• Facilitating the on-boarding of new employees and assisting line managers with induction processes
• Advising/following up with line managers and staff to ensure the effective and timely completion of the “Performance and Development Dialog

Requirements

The successful candidate has a graduate level education, ideally in an HR or business discipline. You are part way through or have completed a professional HR qualification and have at least 4 years work experience in operational HR in Saudi Arabia, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will have a strong working knowledge of the Saudi Labour Law. Experience with advising/coaching managers at all levels in a generalist role is required. You have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, are able to communicate effectively in a multi cultural and multi-lingual environment, are results orientated, numerate, a good time manager and committed to delivering a high quality service. You are able to understand and manage complex business relationships. You are fluent in English and Arabic and fully conversant with MS Office.
