Job description / Role

Responsible for: Monitoring of progress of design and construction and preparation and updating of project schedules, analysis of delay events and impact on construction progress, using Primavera scheduling software. Reports to the Construction Manager
Duties: Monitor the timely preparation by the Design Consultant of drawings and specifications as required to instruct the Contractor. Prepare high level master schedule for the project including activities of multiple design consultants and contractors. Review and analyze the contractor's construction schedule and its integration into the overall master schedule. Analyze and report on contractor proposed activity durations and links that do not reflect proper construction process. Monitor construction progress and maintain an as-built schedule for the project. Review Contractor’s construction schedule and monitor actual progress. Review Contractor's regular schedule updates and associated reports. Analyze impact of delaying events on the project schedule. Assist the Construction Manager in the preparation of a monthly report of construction activities. Report to the Construction Manager on delays in the construction that are or will impact the progress of construction. Perform regular site inspections to determine actual construction progress on-site.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering or Architecture from recognized university. Minimum five years post-graduate experience in construction scheduling and/or project field supervision activities. Minimum five years experience in use of Primavera CPM scheduling software.
