Our client, one of the fastest growing providers of public safety and security solutions globally, is looking to expand their team of professionals within their research and development centre in Germany. With long term career prospects providing stability and career development, our employer is seeking to appoint a Scrum Master to their Research and Development team, who will support the growth and development of their projects globally. Our client provides end to end solutions to its customers including project management and software intensive solutions as well as solutions for companies and public institutions.

Reporting to the Product Development Director, the Scrum Master will work as a facilitative team leader to ensure that the team adheres to its chosen process and removes blocking issues. Your responsibilities in this role will include:

• Ensure that the team is fully functional and productive
• Enable close cooperation across all roles and functions
• Remove barriers, e.g. those between the development and the product owner so that the product owner directly drives development.
• Shield the team from external interferences
• Ensure that the process is followed, including issuing invitations to daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint planning
• Facilitate daily scrums
• Improve the productivity of the development team in any way possible.
• Improve engineering practices and tools so that each increment of functionality is potentially shippable.
• Keep information about the team's progress up to date and visible to all parties.

Requirements


Requirements


• Degree qualified in Computer Science or related field, with Masters degree being highly regarded
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in the delivery of complex software development projects, including shipping multiple software releases to customers
• Excellent knowledge of Agile development and Lean production for software product development
• Extensive experience scaling Agile development in a large, complex software product development organization, including the active management of product backlogs
• Experience managing relationships with multiple formal stakeholders, both internal and external
• Experience in the area of urban management or physical security is highly regarded
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to refine complex issues into clear concepts
• Outstanding presentation and moderation skills
• Excellent communication skills, across multiple disciplines at all organizational levels, including executive leadership
• International experience within a matrix organization in multicultural environments is highly regarded
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
