The RoleThe RoleAl-Futtaim Logistics is a leading Supply Chain Management company in Dubai, UAE, with our major shareholder being one of the largest business houses in the lower Gulf region. Al-Futtaim logistics, started as a small warehouse for Al-Futtaim products about 25 years ago, and has developed over the years into one of the largest logistics service providers in the UAE. We have nearly 500 people on our diverse team from 20 different countries. We offer superior Pan-Arab supply chain management solutions including warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding as well as IT solutions and Supply Chain Design and Consulting. The company has an international network of offices and agents for overseas freight and warehousing and distribution centres in all major UAE cities and ports.We are currently looking to recruit a Sea Freight Coordinator to work from our Dubai base operations. Reporting to the Sea Freight Manager you will be responsible in handling Sea freight import / export customer service & operations & co-ordinate efficiently with the customer. As Freight Coordinator your primary responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to: * Collaborate with Sales for documentation of Quotation/SOP within two weeks of finalisation of account * Follow-up with concerned office for Process/Progress Status * Inform customer of shipment status (readiness of shipment, information from Supplier) * Coordinate with Operations, Sales and Finance Departments to meet operational requirements * Ensure timely resolution of any discrepancy in invoicing * Ensure prompt and effective resolution of customer complaints, and escalate issues to Immediate Superior whenever required * Develop and maintain a healthy relationship with Internal & External Customers * Schedule visit to the Customer (with Sales Personnel) on a regular basis * Facilitate the growth of existing accounts * Resolve issues regarding cargo shortage/damage/claims * Focus on enhancing customer loyalty |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be successfully considered for this role, you must have: * A minimum of 3 years in Sea Freight department * A Bachelors Degree preferably in Administration or any advance or related courses to Freight forwarding. * Knowledge in SAP and E-Mirsal II or equivalent software programs * Good knowledge with customs clearance and documentation procedures * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Good customer service and presentation skills * Good analytical and decision making skills * Flexibility and punctuality * Competency in MS office |
