Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

•To manage and implement all Environment, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) activities, including policies, training, advising, auditing, studying, instructing, monitoring, reporting and evaluating, to minimize risk of accident, injury, illness or damage to equipment to minimize emission inventories for air, water and solid waste streams, implementation of best available technology for the control of all Environmental aspects and certification of ISO 14001 or other relevant standard company meeting at minimum local Environmental regulatory requirements.

•Responsible for the management of all Environments, Health & Safety personnel functions and providing the direction and approval of EHS program activities based on International best practices. Manage/ direct sections staff to achieve the sections objectives and targets.

•Responsible for Safety, occupational health, environmental, and hygiene matters throughout the plant, ensuring that the applicable Environmental Regulations (such as Royal Commission, PME) and all relevant procedures and instructions are followed by all departments through his section.

•Provide advisory & consultancy to senior management, Line management and employees on EHS matters.

•Establish continual improvement and reports on the performance to the top management and deal with Governmental administration.

•Submit applicable reports/presentations to outside authorization, as required.

•Plan, Develop and maintain to Annual Environment, Health & Safety Budget.

Requirements

Chemical / Mechanical / Safety / Environment / Occupational Health Engineering Degree and training in Process, Safety, Environment & Industrial Hygiene, management and leadership. At least 2 years of experience in plant operations/maintenance.

•Should have the capacity for the management of all EHS staff personnel.
•Should have the functional level of approving all administrative and documentation functions of the EHS section.
•Should posses the working capability with the management staff of contractors to ensure the effectiveness of their EHS program.
•Bilingual and acquainted with international safety, occupational health/industrial hygiene, and environment and standards. Should have the initiative in devising useful EHS training programs for all company employees and contractors whenever is necessary.
•Leadership abilities to lead studies with engineers for risk management studies, be able to convince management on programs.
•Excellent presentation skills.
•Considerable training in the field of Environmental, Health & Safety Management, procedures and practices, Familiarization with General/Specialize Management Techniques and Practices.
•Considerable training on Safety Engineering, Risk Management studies to enable him to Lead/participate in Risk managements studies such as Hazop, HRA, EIA etc. for Engineering review of plant design, plant modifications and existing operations. Training on EMS, PSM, OSHA, Management, Leadership.
•Leadership. Business Acumen.
•Dissemination of Government Directives.
