Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

We are representing a leading construction consultancy who are seeking a Security Design Engineer to join their technical team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is a head office role and the main focus of the position is designing security systems protecting various projects ranging from hospitality to mixed used development including mission critical facilities.

Key tasks
- Designing, specifying and documenting physical security components that encompass diverse technologies (security management software, access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, wireless, sensors, door hardware, etc.), the evaluation, recommendation, and integration of these technologies into various new and existing sites and facilities, and the implementation of plans for systems growth, operations, and personnel requirements
- Review submittals and shop drawings, coordinating with architects, contractors, engineers, and consultants
- Develop technical criteria, cost estimates, memorandums, specifications and vulnerability and risk assessments
- Ability to evaluate customer requirements for new or existing security systems and products to determine feasibility, time frames and compatibility with current systems.
- Acting as a key contributor within a project design team, bringing a future-perspective of technology.

Requirements

- Possess intimate knowledge of services, hardware, infrastructure and systems architecture for physical security systems
- Have excellent attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work equally well as an individual contributor or team member
- Able to maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast paced and occasionally high pressure environment
- Experience should include knowledge of technical, physical and operational security elements including current and emerging technology systems.
- Physical Security Professional (PSP); Certified Protection Professional (CPP) (or test ready) would be added plus.
- Skilled in leading edge technology utilized in high-risk security operations, including working knowledge of OSHA and NFPA standards, exposure to marine security
