Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reports to Chief Security Officer (CSO) and to KEIL president.

OBJECTIVE:
To manage, review, evaluate, develop and implement security policy and procedures in whole keil/kec offices field locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Iraq regional security manager is responsible for the risk assessment and professional management of all security personnel and assets. Assets include physical and real property such as inventories, equipment, operational facilities, securities, and cash. Assets also include intangible property, such as sensitive and proprietary information. He is to formulate, develop and implement all security plans where applicable. Plans are to cover the security of all KEC/KEIL personnel, properties, assets, interests and equipment.

All contractors security plans are to be reviewed by the regional security manager. He is also responsible for the timely routine reporting and counselling of the chief security officer and project managers, on all country and / or project security matters.

Concurrent to this he is responsible where applicable for integrating security personnel and assets into and health, safety and environment routine and emergencies Responses plans.

Tasks:
- Define the regional security management procedures related to:
- Overall responsibility for security and safety relating to all KEC/KEIL operations and projects within Iraq.
- Briefing and counsel of KEC/KEIL project managers.
- Strategic planning and coordination of security support for all the KEC/KEIL projects in Iraq, where appropriate.
- Management of KEC/KEIL contracted security personnel, contracted to KEC/KEIL.
- Liaison with Iraqi security forces.
- Planning and deployment of security assets or equipment.
- Resolution of security code levels.
- Internal investigations.
- Security vulnerability assessments.
- Security management reviews.
- Security advisor to emergency management team (EMT).
- Management of private security companys (PSC) contracts to include auditing and compliance issues.
- Routine reporting to the KEC chief security officer on all security matters relating to KEC/KEIL and contracted Iraq operations, including the KEC security code levels, security strategy and all crisis management issues.
- Liaison with local security forces, private security officer on all security matters relating to KEC/KEIL and contracted Iraq operations, including the KEC security code levels, security strategy and all authorities , clients and subcontractors.
- Creation and proposal of all additional security exhibits and plans for the primary contractor.
- Review and approval of projects prime contractors security plans.
- Technical assistance and advice relating to the purchase of security related equipment such as armoured vehicles, body armoured communications and technical equipment.
- Propose implementation and amendment of KEC security procedures and policies.
- Designing, reviewing and rehearsing Iraq contingency plans for emergency response and evacuation, for security and medical-related incidents.
- Coordinating information on local security situations, disseminating to clients and subcontractors as appropriate.
- Supervising journey management, including travel security, arrangement of military escorts and airport reception.
- Ensure confidentiality of internal company procedures and control systems to guarantee consistency of requirements.

Requirements

- Diploma or Above
- Required Technical Competencies (List 5 of the most appropriate enabling)
- Required Generic Competencies (Behavioral)
- Manage and organizational skills
- Expert negotiating skills
- Prior industry experience of 10 + years
- Written and spoken English language
- Project management expertise
- The capacity to meet project deadlines
- Problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the security field or related field within the middle east preferably in Iraq
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the oil and gas industry
