The Role


The Role


Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work closely with the Huawei Symantec service partner community and provide any support required in order to make service delivery easier for them and better for end users. Develop means and methods to improve service partners’ abilities.
•Attend customer site when the complexity of an issue requires a higher level of technical expertise, acting as an ambassador in front of customer under these circumstances.
•Plan security spare parts based on the installed base in the MENA region
•Work closely with partners and Huawei Symantec’s training department in order to identify required security training, also suggesting improvements in training material where necessary
•Plan and initiate any engineering change orders requested by Huawei Symantec R&D department
•Bring to the MENA service manager’s attention any issues which could affect customer satisfaction and work with the service manager to address those issues.

Requirements


Requirements


•3 years or more work experience with security technologies with a solid experience of working with network security relating to the Internet, Intrusion Detection, UNIX, DNS, firewall, content engines and proxy technologies, LDAP and other directory services, and web technologies.
•Over three years’ experience of other vendors’ security offerings in design, implementation and management. Any pre-sales experience would be an advantage.
•CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, CISSP certifications and above is highly desirable
•Sound technical troubleshooting experience of at least two years
•Other technical certifications from security appliance vendors would be very advantageous
•Ability to act effectively in high pressure customer situations whilst balancing the needs of the customer with the interests of Huawei Symantec
•Three years experience in a technical customer facing role, a mixture of face-to-face and telephone customer support would be ideal.
•Practical knowledge and experience of security equipment migration techniques
•Good administrative skills on Windows and Linux OS would be highly desirable
•Good experience of office automation systems and the Internet
•Experience of similar product lines to Huawei Symantec’s from both a marketing and technical perspective
•Sound knowledge of enterprise computing requirements and where target products are positioned in the data center
•Ability to work in a high pressure and fluid environment and learn quickly.
