Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading general travel firm in UAE, is seeking to recruit professional accountant to join their team in Dubai

Reporting to the company general manager, the incumbent the incumbent main role is to manage the department / staff accountants that include financial reporting as well as transactional accounting. Accordingly, the job-holder shall:
- Control sales transactions
- Review accounts receivables and follow up on collections.
- Ensure the accounting functions compliance with IFRS as well as internal control system. In addition, ensure compliance with Standards & Procedures of the company guidelines.
- Prepare monthly cash report with an objective of controlling collections and bank deposits.
- GL reconciliations
- Participate in budget preparation, and periodically monitor the variances between budget & actuals, and report the same to the management.
- Participate in the preparation of annual financial statement
- Supervise closely the department staff and ensure smooth running of the accounting operation.
- Coordinate & cooperate with external auditors to ensure that all related reposts will be provided on-time. In addition, assist the external audit team will all their needs.
- Ensure adequate documentation system for all accounting documents / reports.
- Coordinate with banks as needed

Requirements

- Has bachelor degree in accounting, finance or any other related discipline gained from reputable organization
- Fluent in both Arabic and English
- Has hands-on experience in ERP system, preferably Oracle ERP.
- Has at least 10 years of work experience out which 5 years at supervisory / managerial level.
- Possess excellent communication / managerial skills
- Possess leadership & people skills, should demonstrate ability to manage / lead a team.
- Has analytical ability, task-oriented and problem solving
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under-pressure.
