Senior Accountant - Engineering - HMAF - Qatar

The responsibilities of a Senior Accountant are:
- Finalising project accounts on timely basis
- Supervising and monitoring day to day Accounting operation
- Ensuring timely deposit of cash in the bank
- Maintaining the General Ledger
- Preparing, reviewing and getting approvals on daily Journal Vouchers of all expenses
- Assessing and amending all the daily transaction entered in the system
- Preparing and assessing bank Reconciliations
- Calculating staff vacation pay and providing necessary information of personnel department for calculation of staff benefits
- Preparing budgeted income statements based on data provided by the different department heads
- Preparing reports to monitor performance against budget and highlighting areas with major deviations
- Monitoring cash sales and petty cash
- Supporting higher management on any info needed for effective decision making
- Keeping up to date with record of all accounting transaction
- Providing any financial information needed at store or country level
- Managing Internal & External Auditors

Requirements

- A degree in Business Admin, Finance or Accounting
- A Certification in CA / ICWA / CPA
- Experienced in using SAP or any other ERP system
- 5 Plus years of experience in Accounting
- 3 plus years experience as an Accountant in an Engineering, Construction Contracting company
- Experience in Project Accounting, IFRS, GL, AP & AR
