The RoleThe RoleMy leading client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Accountant sitting within the General Ledger team, based at the HQ in Dubai. To be the custodian of the General Ledger of the company and ensure all financial transactions have been accurately recorded in books of accounts and are in line with the SLAs and the Financial policies of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the team and work closely with other FSS functions to ensure efficient operation of the General Ledger function. Maintain day-to-day financial control in processing transactions of General Ledger, including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, fixed assets, Accounts payable transactions, recording of revenue and expenses etc. Track and ensure delivery as per the Service Level Agreement. Ensure integrity of financial, accounting and processing controls and compliance including reconciliations, journal entries etc. Monitor integrity between sub-systems and highlight discrepancies. Review relevant journal entries and sign-off the same. Manage petty cash float and its replenishment. Implement process and systems improvements across various functions within Finance Shared Services. Provide timely and accurate information to meet requirements of Customer Entities as per the agreed Service Level Agreement. PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work, and ensure that they are continuously developed for higher level roles. |
RequirementsRequirementsEducation/ Qualification Part or fully qualified in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CFA/CMA/ACA/MBA). Experience 5 to 7 years relevant experience , with at least 2 years at a managerial / supervisory position Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge Experience in handling finalization of accounts and should possess good working knowledge of IFRS Should be conversant with ERP functionalities Effective and strong communication skills Be KPI driven and process focused Ability to assist in the implementation of new systems; if required |
