Job description / Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Accountant.
The main purpose of the role is to perform professional accounting work. Record and report financial transactions and do a budgetary control for assigned funds, reviews fiscal records and prepares financial reports, statements and analysis.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Participate in the preparation, posting, balancing and reconciliation of the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts.
Ensure that relevant transactions are posted to the correct General Ledger account and to the proper period.
Audit and processes payments for various contracts and miscellaneous expenses.
Review expenses and balance sheet item schedules for completeness and accuracy.
Provide analyses and details on expenses.
Assist in the preparation of special statistical reports that may be required by management or the holding company.
Provide support for the internal and external auditors ensure that schedules and other reports are available as required.
Deputize for the Finance Manager during his absence and, therefore, to be fully acquainted with the relevant Job Description in order to carry out those responsibilities.
You will be reporting to Finance Manager
Requirements
In order to be considered for this position it is essential that you have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Business Administration or in any related field.
You should have a minimum of -8 to 10 years experience with supervisory responsibilities in the hospitality industry. Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines a must.
A qualification in accountancy, experience of conducting hotel operations analysis will be viewed as desirable. Preferably Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager role. Member of Charted Accountants is a plus.
