About the Job:
Reporting to the CFO, we are seeking a top-notch Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will be the go to person for all aspects related to accounting in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and have complete ownership of the books and processes for finance in Dubai. This is an evolving role, which at the initial stages, you will be expected to also support areas of Finance. This will include consolidation, budgeting, invoicing process and financial business partnering for the local sales team.


Key Job Responsibilities:
- You will drive continuous improvement and identify, design, and implement scalable processes.
- As the accounting expert you will apply best practices to all areas by adding value through process improvement and creating workflow efficiencies.
- You will work with local and global teams to establish best practice and drive greater visibility to financial information.
- You will respond to inquiries from the CFO and senior management regarding financial results, monthly/quarterly reports, and special reporting requests in a timely manner.
- You will work closely and proactively with the financial team to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit.

Requirements

- 5-7 years progressive experience in a corporate accounting environment.
- Outstanding complex problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex accounting issues and troubleshoot.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and experience with IFRS.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with full professional proficiency in English a must.
- Strong critical-thinking skills.
- Solid Excel skills.
- Detail-oriented; ability to prioritize and work within a deadline oriented environment.
- Experience with Budgeting, reporting, and financial statements in IFRS
- Hands on attitude (the success candidate will be the only finance person on the ground in Dubai to begin with)

Pluses:
- Experience in a multinational that is part of a bigger group and reports to a parent company.
- Experience with integrated global financial systems, preferably NetSuite/Oracle.
- Accounting Qualification of ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
