Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Senior Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, i.e. developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a Deputy to the Finance Manager and leads the accounts team as and when required.
- Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
- Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. AR, AP, GL, journal entries.
- Verify and post pending supplier invoices
- Review and verify stock status reports across sales locations.
- Verifies and reports groups funds positioning.
- Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission to the CEO.
- Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries.
- Verifies monthly entries for Depreciation/ Leavers / Indemnity.
- Reviews and posts salaries
- Reviews Trial Balance & adjustment entries
- Reviews Daily Sales Report.

Requirements

- CPA or Min Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA qualification
- Min 3-5 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting preferably in a retail company.
- Relevant experience in audit and costing is an advantage.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact at all levels.
- Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
- Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
- Working experience in RMS is highly regarded
