Job description / Role
My client are local Contracting company who have entered into a Joint Venture with a reputable company on one of the largest construction projects in Qatar. As a result they are looking to hire a Senior Accounts Officer to join their Finance team.
A suitable candidate will be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and general finance responsibilities such as Joint Venture accounting and financial management. A candidate will be involved in invoices, debtor statements, financial transactions, payroll, general ledger, financial reports and other financial activities ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements
A successful candidate will need:
- A Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance or a relevant discipline
- Chartered Accountancy - ACCA, CA, CMA, CPA or equivalent
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance & Accounting in Construction/Projects industry
- An understanding of Accounting standards and regulations
- Experience working with ERP systems - Oracle, SAP etc.
- To be a team player
